BrassRing Browser, Operating System & Device - Support and Requirements

Abstract

Product: Infinite BrassRing, Infinite Lead Manager , and Workbench Requirements

Browser Requirements
  • Infinite BrassRing supports its solutions on a variety of operating systems, web browsers, and mobile devices; provided that point releases and security patches are applied as recommended by the vendor. (example: browser should be the latest version).

  • Some modern browsers block third-party cookies by default. This can cause issues for the Infinite BrassRing Platform, such as Infinite BrassRing not fully loading, or continually refreshing. Infinite BrassRing URLs can be added to the browser as an exception to the cookie blocking. For more information, refer to Configure BrassRing Third-Party Browser Cookie Exceptions.

  • Web browsers should be configured to accept cookies and allow pop-ups, with browser security settings set to medium or lower. Alternatively, the applications can be added to the trusted sites list for the browser.

  • The Infinite BrassRing team regularly tests supported platforms. Unlisted or unsupported platforms might also work with a given application but are not explicitly tested. If a platform is no longer supported by the company that owns the platform, the BrassRing team discontinues support for that platform.

  • Browsers are supported on Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X in alignment with the browser manufacturers’ supported operating systems and associated browsers. Certain Android and iOS Mobile Devices with built-in browsers are supported for specific applications.

  • If a browser is on the supported list, the Infinite BrassRing Development team has tested and remediated browser issues for the major workflows, and testing/remediation continues as long as the browser remains in the supported list. A support ticket must be opened if a user experiences an issue with a supported browser.

  • Infinite BrassRing's responsive experience (Responsive Recruiter and Responsive Candidate Experience) is designed to provide an optimal viewing and interactive experience across a wide range of devices, from desktop to mobile. Although the BrassRing responsive applications are device-agnostic, browser support is finite and does not include all existing devices, mobile operating systems, and browsers.

  • Infinite BrassRing responsive experience is designed to work with all operating systems, browsers, and devices even though not all devices, operating systems, and browsers, are supported. Beta versions are not supported.

  • Internet Explorer (IE) 11 was removed from Windows 10 support by Microsoft on June 15, 2022. Therefore all BrassRing Talent users who are currently using the IE11 browser are advised to switch to the Microsoft Edge browser.

  • eLinks are supported on email clients that support HTML email.

    • Safari is only available on Macintosh computers.

    • Mobile Apply is supported on mobile devices using Android 4.4 and higher and on Apple iOS8 and higher. The only exception for the iOS version is that the Header and Footer are not in a fixed position.

Infinite BrassRing Responsive Experience, and Candidate Experience:
  • Microsoft Edge Latest Version: Full Support

  • Firefox Latest Version: Full Support.

  • Safari Latest Version: There is a limitation with Safari browsers for clients that use frames to host Talent Gateways. By default, Safari prevents a web page from setting cookies if it is hosted in a frame with a domain different from the parent's. For example, when the frame-set is from HR_client.com and the Talent Gateway's frame is sobs.Brassring.com. One workaround to avoid the cookie restriction is to update your custom text on the Talent Gateway landing page and request Safari or Mac users to select a link they launch the Talent Gateway in a separate window.

  • Chrome Latest Version: Full Support.

  • Mobile Devices: Limited Support.

    • Android 4.4, 5+: Full Support, includes support for mobile Chrome browser on Android.

    • iOS 8+: Full Support, includes support for mobile browsers, Safari, and Chrome, on iOS.

Workbench:
  • Microsoft Edge Latest Version: Full Support.

  • Chrome Latest Version: Full Support.

  • Firefox: No Support.

  • Safari: No Support.

  • Mobile Devices: No Support.

Talent Gateways - Responsive Apply:
  • Microsoft Edge Latest Version: Full Support.

  • Firefox Latest Version: Full Support.

  • Safari Latest Version: Full Support. There is a limitation with Safari browsers for clients that use iframes to host Talent Gateways. Mobile Devices that have been tested vary but include recent iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and Android tablets.
