# I-9 Section 1 and 2 Data Sync

Abstract

If a manager selects documents for Section 2 of I-9, which the new hire used in Section 1 for Citizenship Status (I-94 or Foreign Passport), then on Section 2 the UI displays the number the new hire entered in plain text as read only information (no input field).

An instructional message appears for the field that states: If the number on the documentation provided does not match the value please re-open I-9 Section 1 for correction.
