Feature
The Data Insight Tool (DIT) to FTP functionality provides the ability to export DIT reports to up to 10 FTP servers. The FTP server can be hosted by either Infinite and/or by the client. The FTP functionality will allow customers the choice of using the existing report output methods or utilizing an FTP capability.
Infinite or Client Hosted FTP
Clients have 2 options to set up a Data Insight FTP configuration.
Infinite Hosted (sometimes referred to as the Pull Method):
Infinite handles all maintenance and/or upkeep of the server (number of files, file size issues, etc.)
Infinite has the FTP Server no need for the client to have a server.
Infinite purges data after 14 days.
Infinite creates and maintains usernames and passwords which follow the Infinite security policy
Infinite will provide the site link, username, and password.
The client will access the site to retrieve the report
The FTP site hosted by Infinite provides one folder per client. The output format for the file can be CSV, XLSM, or ZIP.
PGP Encryption of the file will be required. The client must provide the public PGP key and Key User ID in order to encrypt.
Client Hosted (sometimes referred to as the Push Method):
The client has full control over the FTP site (number of files, file size, etc.)
The client has the flexibility since they own the server.
The client handles all maintenance and/or upkeep of the server.
The client needs to have an FTP server.
The client creates and maintains usernames and passwords.
The client will need to provide the site link, username, and password to Infinite.
Infinite will upload reports to the Client site.
PGP Encryption is strongly recommended. If the client would like to use PGP Encryption, they must provide the public PGP key and Key User ID.
When the client chooses this option, the client/vendor must add the following IP addresses/ranges to their allowed list to ensure the DIT can successfully post files:
One Staging 20.96.246.123
US-PROD 20.22.151.10
EU-Prod 20.67.214.148
Note
Sometimes, the FTP being used for “client hosted” is actually a 3rd party vendor site, depending on the client's need/purpose for using DIT to FTP. The client will need to work with their 3rd party vendor to provide all the necessary configuration details.
