Article summary

Our brand-new Onboard Admin application is designed to enhance your experience. These changes aim to improve functionality, streamline workflows, and provide better usability. The modern layout is paired with reduced clicks and ease of use to make our client admins day-to-day tasks easier.

What’s changing -

  • All non-reporting functionalities of the current Onboard “workbench” (currently accessed via the “Reports” hamburger option in the Onboard Manager Talent Suite application) are moved to a new Talent Suite application, called “Onboard Admin.”

  • Some new functionality is being added (see below) based on client feedback.

  • Many screens have been consolidated to assist with system administration.

  • We will continue to gather feedback and make future enhancements to the new administration pages.

  • Onboard disposition codes will no longer display as they were functionality from a previous standalone Onboard version and are not in use for any current clients.

What’s not changing -

  • Onboard reporting will remain under the existing “Reports” hamburger menu item in Onboard Manager and will continue to function as it does today. We are looking into future options to upgrade the reporting tool, but for now, all Onboard reporting access, and paths to the reporting functionality in the Onboard application will stay as-is.

  • For now, the current settings UI will be left accessible and usable, to allow client feedback on the new UI, while users get comfortable. However, it will be turned off shortly.

New benefits -

While the main initial focus of this upgrade was to improve speed and modernize the UI, we are also continuing to look for opportunities to improve processes within Onboard admin tasks. With this first release of the new application, we were able to deliver multiple enhancements beyond look and feel and performance upgrades, with a focus on combining task-related processes to as few clicks and screens as possible and streamlining access to data.

  • Create Jobs: Users who have the Create Job capability will now be able to see a button to create a new job directly from the Onboard Manager. This will allow for ad hoc job creation and then the association of a new New Hire to that new job outside of any integration.

  • Workflow versioning:

In the workflow screen users can now see previous versions of workflows to understand what previous new hires may have, or be, experiencing. These versions will be automatically saved as the workflow is saved and then used on a job. Clicking on a previous version will show a read-only copy of the workflow.

  • Workflow drag and drop: The workflow screens have been enhanced to allow drag and drop of activities around the workflow rather than one-by-one arrow buttons.

  • Search: speed and ease: All actions have been upgraded with significant responsiveness and speed. Search has also been added to all pages to quickly allow users to find what they are looking for.

  • Simplified by elimination: Old settings no longer in use have been removed to simplify the user experience.
