Overview of Talent Gateways and Pre-qualifying Questions

  • A Talent Gateway is a job site, that is hosted by Infinite, and is dedicated to helping organizations simplify their job posting process and accelerate their online recruiting efforts. With access to Workbench, you are able to add your own Talent Gateway.

  • In addition to collecting candidate data through a Talent Gateway pertaining to contact, employment, and educational background, pre-qualifying questions might be presented to the candidate to gather additional information. These job response questions are fields on the Talent Gateway form, which is technically a candidate form. The Talent Gateway form is managed the same way as other candidate forms with attributes, fields, and field options. For Workbench purposes, consider the Talent Gateway pre-qualifying questions as fields on a candidate form.

  • For a job-specific question to be selectable by the recruiter at the time of posting the req, the question, or field must first exist on the Talent Gateway form.

  • Questions that you would like to add to the Gateway Questionnaire can live on the Talent Gateway form or on another form in your system.

  • Regardless of the number of your Talent Gateways, it is recommended to label sections of questions by relevance for ease of use when viewing the list of questions contained within it. For example, section the form using label fields such as Campus Recruiting, Employee Referral, or Internal Hire.

  • You are able to manage the default Talent Gateway questions through the Talent Gateway Administration screen within Workbench. If you want these default questions to show on the Gateway Questionnaire, the Job-Specific Questions (JSQ) widget must be added.

  • Form fields on the Talent Gateway form can be designated as searchable or outputable and count towards your company’s limited number of searchable and outputable fields.

  • Modifications to Talent Gateway forms, fields, or options are activated for new reqs that are posted. Changes are not retroactive. If you would like changes to be reflected on the currently posted jobs, users must manually edit the job posting, add, or remove the fields and refresh the posting.

  • Updated Build 19.05.06. BrassRing's Responsive Talent Gateways can be created and be available in Right to Left Orientation. Clients can configure the Responsive Talent Gateways in Right to Left orientation for the candidates that have Arabic and Hebrew as native or primary languages. The following are the features of the Talent Gateways that are available in these locales:

    • Format of all menu items and drop-down lists are available in Right to left format. This includes:

      • Orientation of non-menu navigation icons/links, such as the scroll up icon and Back link

      • Orientation of "x" close icons for any alerts or dialogs.

      • Orientation of all on-screen buttons / links.

      • Orientation of selection and answer pairs for radio buttons and check boxes.

    • All text strings are translated and oriented right to left, including:

      • On-screen headers, menu items, button labels, text links and instruction text

      • Alert and error messages that appear in-line

      • All text on pop-up modals, windows and pop-up warning or alerts

      • Wrapping of any text that extends beyond one line (including button labels and anything which may wrap due to screen size)

    • Exceptions and Limitations:

      • The calendars and date format are provided in Gregorian calendar's months and days. The native lunar calendar for Saudi Arabia (Arabic) or Israel (Hebrew) is currently not supported.

      • The University list field does not have a pull-down option in the Add/Edit Education widget. It has a Text box which has right to left orientation.

      • As with any other new features or enhancements, this feature is not available in the Classic Talent Gateways or the classic Talent Gateway pages present in the Responsive Talent Gateways.

      • Images and icons are not reversed, however, their location on the screen gets altered.

      • This feature is not available on the Basic Talent Gateways.

    • To implement Arabic or Hebrew for your Responsive Talent Gateways, contact your Infinite representative. For a list of steps to implement a locale for a Talent Gateway, see Enable Locales.

Responsive Talent Gateways

Responsive Talent Gateway search enables job seekers to search for jobs with a modern, simple search approach, see streamlined job details screens, or sign in to access the candidate zone. After a job seeker selects Apply, they go to Responsive Apply screens. Job search and apply runs on all devices, which means it works smoothly across various devices and browsers, with information that is automatically displayed in an appropriate layout. So if a user changes the browser window size or switches to a device with a different browser or screen size, then the interface elements dynamically readjust to optimize the user's experience on the new device. Functions are the same on any device.

Responsive Layout Column

The Responsive Talent Gateway Screen layout is set and configured per gateway, with settings for screen components such as header, footer, links, text, filters, and fields. For Global Talent Gateways (GTG), there is one Responsive Layout page that applies to all Talent Gateways included.

  • The green + Add icon indicates that a responsive layout does not yet exist. Select it to open and configure responsive layout.

  • Edit icon (pencil) indicates that a responsive layout has been saved but is not active. Select it to edit the responsive layout.

  • Picture icon indicates that visual branding is available. Select to open the Visual branding tool (VBT). The Visual Branding Tool icon is not available unless the Talent Gateway Search Layout setting is enabled on the Talent Gateway settings page.

  • Green checkmark icon indicates that settings for Responsive Talent Gateway layout are configured, and the gateway has been activated for responsive search layout. Select it to edit the responsive layout.
