    Abstract

    uses Single Sign-On (SSO) to establish secure connections with Infinite BrassRing Platform users. Single Sign-On (SSO) is a connection standard that authenticates users and establishes secure communication services between multiple systems. Using SSO, Infinite BrassRing Platform users can connect and automatically authenticate and connect securely to multiple applications within the Infinite BrassRing Platform.

    Configuring SSO

    Configuring SSO is a multi-step process.

    • First, Administrators must configure Inbound SSO and establish authentication between the client systems and the Infinite BrassRing Platform.

    • When Inbound SSO configuration is complete, Administrators then Configure their Identity Souce.

    • Administrators next enable each of the Infinite BrassRing Platform users for SSO.

    SSO and SAML

    SSO supports the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) authentication protocol for . SAML is an open standard data format for exchanging authorization and authentication data between systems and is supported by the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information (OASIS).

    SAML

    SAML is an XML-based open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between security domains, such as identity provider (a producer of assertions) and a service provider (a consumer of assertions).

    The SAML standard defines a framework and procedures for exchanging security information between online business entities. More precisely, SAML defines a common XML framework for exchanging security assertions between entities for SSO purposes.
