Article summary

Abstract

Product: Event Manager.

Error Message: Registration update failed. Please contact us directly to proceed.

Cause: This error is usually a result of tracking rules preventing an HR Status change.

Recommended Next Steps
  1. Registration page errors can be customized. To troubleshooting the registration page, select Admin → List Maintenance → Registration Pages, and select Edit Messages. The window that opens displays all of the error messages that can display for that registration page. Find the error and review the conditions that causes it. For example: if the only customization made was the addition of a phone number, then the error appears in the HR Status Update Failure Message field.

  2. When [Enhanced Outcomes] are enabled, and candidates are invited through a batch or manually, there is a field to indicate the [Event Manager Outcome] to assign to the candidate when they reschedule. With an automatic invitation, check the event batch to see what outcome is assigned in the reschedule field on the event sequence. After finding the outcome, select Admin → List Maintenance → Outcomes to see what HR Status is assigned to that outcome.

  3. After finding the HR Status that Event Manager is trying to assign when the candidate is trying to reschedule, review the candidate's current HR Status to see if there are tracking rules that are preventing the candidate from being moved to the new HR Status.

Warning: Candidate [Candidate Name] is not able to be scheduled to the activity [Activity Name].

Cause: Activity cannot be scheduled because Max Candidates per room value exceeds the value of candidates scheduled.

Recommended Next Steps

  1. First, determine if the current value for the Max Candidates per Room of the activity can be increased. If so, increase it to accommodate the number of candidates in the time slot.

  2. Alternatively, if not, set the activity to Can Repeat so that enough instances of the activity can be created to accommodate the number of candidates in the time slot. If this option is chosen, ensure that there are rooms and assessors assigned to the time slot to accommodate the additional instances of the activity. To prevent additional candidates from getting scheduled, reduce the Max Candidates value of the time slot.
