Abstract
Product: Workbench
Code access groups
Code access groups are used to grant access to specific Job Codes, and limit the number of job codes a user sees when they create a req. This is helpful for clients with many job codes. The job code list is displayed in BrassRing based on the configuration in Workbench.
By default each user is assigned to the code access group – default.
Job Codes can be assigned to groups. The groups can then be associated to one or more groups with specific BrassRing users. BrassRing users can then search through a significantly reduced set of job codes when creating a req. Code access groups are configured on the user account page as they are associated with users.
Code access groups are assigned in the User Table on a per user basis, allowing each user to be configured into one or more code access groups. The standard code access group that comes with the system allows a user to access all Job Codes. System Administrators and other users can be added into that group as needed.
To configure Code access groups, the client setting User Code Filtering must be set to Yes. Client settings can only be enabled by Infinite Representatives.
